No its not for the kids!

I refuse point blank to buy the usual slabs of iss for friends and relatives in attendance and am looking for ideas for beer in bottles.

They all know I am a homebrewer and I am regularly getting "thats not bad" after the 1st, and any more? after the 3rd.

I still have one or 2 die hards that need the security blanket of a label.

I see this as a mission and as such I have no real limiting budget so in the following categories for if you could recommend I would be much obliged.
I am in the North a lot and you may wish to recommend something from across the water that's available there but not down here.

1) Lager/Pilsner

2) Ale

3) Stout

I promise I will let you know how I get on with your recommendations.

Northwise, I'd say see if you can hunt down some Hoppelhammer from Whitewater.

Just don't remove the labels from empty bottles and fill with a similar HB!

Or just put a light lager into a Grolsh Bottle or your cider into a Bulmers bottle ( can give you some tomorrow at club )!!

When working in the offy, one of the beers I consistently used to show macro-piss drinkers there's life outside of Bud was Harviestoun Schiehallion. It's a wonderfully crisp lager made by one of Scotland's better brewers - loads of flavour, but nothing too 'out there' for first-timers.
It's in 500ml bottles and is fairly widely available (I've even seen it in Dunnes) - should come in around the 2.50/2.75 mark per bottle.

Tesco have a 5 for €10 offer on Arcobrau Pilsner at the moment. It's a nice soft pilsner in the style of Pilsner Urquell, but a little lighter.
