Revenue are back from their holidays and have finally published a new list, so I've added Loudons. I've also added Finn Valley, because I'm thorough like that

Although the post about Minch's Hook Head Series malt coming from the Hook Peninsula doesn't inspire confidence.

Strange that you would pass such a remark without tasting their beer . I have and it is very good . Fantastic brewer ex Killarney brewing co

It wasn't a comment on their beer, just that FB post. Though hands up I didn't realise that the Hook Head series malt actually comes from Hook Head till today.

Dropped in last Tuesday. Right now they are just waiting for their bond from Revenue before they can start selling. The three guys are Finn (5th generation owner of Dick Macks pub), Ozzie (who previously brewed with West Kerry) and Graeme (whose "brewed" with Dingle and more recently, Killarney Brewing). I did sample the two beers; an Amber which was really nice, and an IPA which needs a little tweaking but still good (the brewers said they are still playing around with their dry hopping). Nice, shiny BrauKon kit. And yes, they use Hook Head as their base malt, but the rest is all Weyermann's- all sourced from White Gypsy.

Pouring since May, but a "side project" - not sure how that counts.
That is/was Jason from Wicklow Brewing's project. Now
on indefinite hiatus with him leaving the country.
Spoke too soon! There's a Storm Crow stout in the tanks at Trouble.

Just added Sheridans in Dunmore to the Directory. They've been on the licensing list for a year or two but don't have an online presence so I was never sure what the deal was. The Taste went along for a look: it's a 200L Speidel brewkit.

New brewery in Carlow. Don't think they've launched any beer just yet.

Crafty Bear Brewing attempted a launch last Wednesday at Underdog, not sure if it went ahead or not. Currently brewing on the Stone Circle kit.

It went ahead but not many were at it. Mr Crafty Bear works for Press Up so the beer is mostly available in those venues. I bought a bottle in the Dollard & Co off licence.

Ah, so the head brewer for the brewery scheduled to go where I think the Tomahawk cafe current stands now.

I don't think he's a brewer. I'm told the Third Barrel crew did all the work on this one.

Just added Heartland Brewing Company, now brewing in Ballinasloe. Their first beer is called "Dirty Lil' Blonde" which hopefully they'll have the good sense to change before long.
