Brewing space in Bray

Just starting out with your first brew? Or just want to talk brewing in general? This is the forum you're looking for.

This arrived in by email. I thought some people in Bray and adjacent areas might be interested:

Just wanted to let you know about our facility, Newmarket Kitchen, a shared use commercial kitchen space based in Bray, Co Wicklow.

At this moment in time we are actively looking for home-brewers who may be looking for a HSE approved, commercially viable premises to brew their beer.

In term of suitable equipment we have a large 40L boiling pot that could be used for brewing.

Feel free to pass on our name or stop by for a look if you are ever in the Bray area.

All sounds a bit and waggon to me without any research into what is actually needed to brew.
If they charged for time in the kitchen it could become a very grey area as well.

There's a gang of us that have our brewing kit in TOG, I wonder if it is the same kinda arrangement. However we don't pay to brew, though we do pay a membership fee to TOG.

That's the thing about Homebrewing you don't need to brew in HSE approved premises.
TOG works well because of space restrictions and great for apartment dwellers, in the sticks we all have garages or back gardens of some shape or form so nah not a runner in Bray I'm afraid.

Got this from Henry at Newmarket Kitchen:
We charge for time spent in the kitchen, either part-time or full-time. Our rates start at 450 euro a month for part-time and 600euro/month for full-time.

We understand that there is no HSE requirement for brewing beer however if one of your members wanted to move on and start brewing commercially it could be a good place to start.
