Hopped Cider?

Got a recipe for a nice black cherry burgundy? Got an opinion on a yeast that you just have to share? This is the place for you.

Am planning on making up a batch of cider (Lidl or Tesco apple juice) and am thinking about dry hopping it for a few days. Maybe cascade or apollo. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and gotten good results. If not might just try a load of fresh fruit in 2nd. Looking for something different as have I have 2 other batched on the go. (about 3 months apart)

I think some people go a bit further, and make an apple ale. Search on here, and I think EoinMag might have had a lash of it. Think it involved apple juice, malt extract, maybe crystal and hops.

If you go with fresh fruit, look out for wild blackberries, elderberries and sloes, as I had great success when I did a cider including these before.

Check on HomebrewTalk for a recipe for Graff, or on my blog, you really only need a tiny amount of hops, it's not really to create a hop flavour.

A very very small amount, only a few grams.
