Planning a brew day and need feedback, or want to share a recipe you've brewed? Post them up here (but read the sticky first :))

I keep running outta beer so I've decided to do two brews. I started around 11 this morning by brewing an amber lager which went well. I managed around 89% efficiency from my peco boiler/mash tun with an OG of 1.050 from 4kg of malt in 24ltrs of liquor. Now while that's cooling I'm mashing a dry oat stout which should come in at roughly the same as I'm using 4kg of malt again. It could be the middle of the night by the time I get them both cooled and pitch my yeast but hopefully it's worth it.

Amber Lager
3.125kg lager malt
.200 carapils
.500 Munich
.175 carafa III
7g Herkules 17.7 at start of boil
7g after 50 mins+1/2 whirlfloc
2g at end.
OG 1.050

It might be a bit hoppy but I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Sorry I should've mentioned that there's about a litre and a half of trub at the bottom of the fermenting vessel so it's only 22.5 litre of wort
