Posting rules

Planning a brew day and need feedback, or want to share a recipe you've brewed? Post them up here (but read the sticky first :))

Postby Barry M » Sun Sep 16, 2007 11:15 am

Due to popular demand, we've created a forum dedicated to recipes rather than having them split between the Extract and All Grain forums. We have moved whatever recipes were already in those fora to this one to make it easier for people teo browse and find recipes.

To make it easier in future, we're suggesting using a standardised naming convention for your post topics.

When posting a new topic, the topic name should follow the pattern of:

Recipe: Extract\AG, Style, Name

For example, one that I had posted as "Larkfield Mulligan Porter Experiment" is now posted as:

Recipe: Extract, Porter, Larkfield Mulligan Porter #1

Within your post you can get as complex or simple as you like, but obviously you need at least the following:

Name:
Style:
Volume:
Ingredients:
Mash\Steeping Schedule: (if applicable)
Boil Schedule:
Yeast\Fermentation\dry hopping:
Other Notes:

As most of the users of this forum use metric, please post in metric to make it easier for them. If you use imperial, just include the imperial weights in brackets, but please do the conversion to metric for other users.

If you are looking for a recipe for something, just post it up as :

Recipe Request: whatever it is you are looking for.

If you think any of the above makes no sense, or have additional suggestions, let us know in this thread and we'll update the sticky as appropriate.

just a suggestion that people should write how their beer turned out, were they happy with it, what was the flavour like etc.just so less experienced people don't take these recipes as gold .
Kegged:

A Galaxy of Diamonds Pacific Pale ale
Britas Bay Ale (Hobgoblin type thing)
Dubbel-in Time

Good idea, rossa. It's something I try to do, but frequently forget.

More importantly, if other ICBers have tasted it, post these up too, as these are independent tests :D

Be ruthless! Honest feedback is the only way to improve :)
