Bottles for 25ltr brew

Just starting out with your first brew? Or just want to talk brewing in general? This is the forum you're looking for.

Quick question for everyone- I’m stockpiling brown 500ml bottles in preparation for my first home brew when it’s ready to bottle. In your experience, about how many should I have to fully bottle the beer when it’s fully fermented?

Wasn’t sure if it was exactly that many depending on how much wort is evaporated

You won't lose much and it's good to have a few spares to hand anyway.

And cheers!

Remember to bottle at least 1 in a 500ml Lucozade bottle. That way you can track your conditioning.

You can squeeze a plastic bottle to check how carbonation is coming along. Not so easy with a glass bottle.
