Kennedy's Pub just East of Trinity -south of Pearse Station: Beer under contract 1 year 4 days ago #1

I've got an American buddy who's in Dublin right now and he posted a picture of what very much looks to be Kilkenny (clearly a Red ale and VERY clearly on Nitro) that he had last night at Kennedy's Pub just off the east end of Trinity college a few steps south of Pearse station. He said that they told him that it was "Kennedy's Red" and the tap said the same thing.

Anyone know if Kennedy's has some sort of beer being brewed with a contract from a local craft brewer? Dodgio wouldn't let a small pub rebrand Kilkenny, certainly right?

(My best guess is that my buddy is mistaken, but interested if anyone has more info or a good, educated guess.)

It happens a lot and it's usually Rye River. Their red is badged as "The Brazen Red" at The Brazen Head so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's the same at Kennedy's. It could also be from Dundalk Bay but that's less common.
