Europe’s definitive guide to beer styles 3 years 1 month ago #1

A project the EBCU has been working on for the last while was launched during the week. It's an attempt to create a comprehensive non-commercial guide to beer styles, giving their history and attributes, and grouping them into categories. Tim Webb the author has been the driving force behind it, and serves as its editor. It's intended as a living document, and amendments are welcomed.

Its purpose is to give us the consumers a say in what beers should be like, so that an increasingly consolidated beer industry can't simply change a beer style because they have the power to do so.

The guide is on the EBCU website here .

Yep, per the Specialty Stouts & Porters page, "an existing style with stuff put in it" is not a style.

Besides, how many oyster stouts are there?
