On Tuesday, I took a punt and rang the Hilden Brewery. At previous Franscian Well festivals they sold bottles to take away. So I asked will they have polypins at the festival for take away. I really like their beer. No problem was the reply, so I ordered A Scullion ale and Headless Dog from sister brewery. Price £ 1.20 per pint and £ 5 for the container so thats £ 26.60 for 18 pints of real ale, conversion at festival and will accept euros. Some members are coming to the festival and others cannot make. I known from my previous conversation with Sean that he never tasted Hilden or College Green beer. So just a suggestion some of the Dublin members who are coming to the festival may be able to bring real beer to the members who cannot. Bottles from some of the breweries are always available. The Hilden beer needs to be ordered, they may bring more with them if they think demand is there. All beers from Hilden and College Green are available in polypins
Just to a thought
In Bottle Coopers Dark
thought that would be the case. not to worry, if i'd got my sh1t together earlier i'd have been heading down myself, ah well. was in scotland last week and wetherspoons are doing an ale festival (pints at £1.39) soon presumably including all 9 of their branches in northern ireland (which have all made the CAMRA Guide) so maybe i'll head up there to feed my habit! would you mind asking hilden do they post polypins? enjoy the festival.
