I believe Ryan's had O'Hara's Red at some stage, though I haven't been there in donkey's years.

I hear it still is, though, one of the cheapest pints in Dublin.

TBN quote,
Some people on Beoir aren't interested in home brewing. Don't take it personally, or organisationally.
Have not posted on here for a while and like yourself, find my time taken up with other web matters.
Your quite right that many on Beoir are not interested in homebrew and thats is why there are 2 Irish web sites with one dedicated to Home brewing, with an Irish content to help raise the knowledge of the hobby.Long may it continue. What we are trying to establish with this first competition is to put Irish home brewing on the international map with this being run on BJCP lines and judged by a BJCP judge. A category winner or an overall winner will have a bit of cudos. Good for our standing in the world.

Dont feel any pressure to enter the competition and just enjoy the Dart pub crawl on the day,and if ye get a chance to drop in to the B&C,(that's the one across from the big church ),I will buy you a pint.

If you've tasted any of my efforts you'll understand why I'm not entering. Think about adding a food category next time I recently did a series of craft stout truffles (Irish Signature range) which I was quite happy about (probably because I hadn't brewed the stout)...

This outing is a great idea but it's too early to say if I will be able to make it (could take three weeks of negotiations with SWMBO!)[/size:cyx9uanj].

And as I mentioned casually before to a number of you, I would be interested in an "away day" to Galway, Cork (or indeed Dublin - depends on where you are based!) to do an Irish craft beer pub crawl. My idea would basically be; travel to and from destination by train and check out some of the pubs that stock ICB (and a decent stop for food). But that's for another time.

I went to the calendar and couldn't find a way to include events, can someoen point me in the right direction? (I would liek to add capital brewers events in the future, the competition seems to already be there)

But it's not for me and I'm a little uncomfortable that my not being involved is somehow being interpreted as a slight on it.[/quote:8avrdmlw]

The guys are doing a great job of organising the competition and your involvement is not nessicary for it's success. I think the point that was being made was that maybe it would be nice if you didn't decided to organise a pub crawl on the same day, I realise you hadn't noticed that the competition was on the same day.

I like the idea of this pub crawl, though I'm not a huge fan of drinking and then having to get onto a dart. I would like for it to happen a different day as I am otherwise engaged that day.

M1 - I believe the M1 had Hooker on draft just before it shut down and I have no idea when it opens up again.
