Meh. I worked in Gallagher's, in the kitchen, when I was in school. I didn't last long as the chef was a drunken a-hole It [i:2l3wmy11]was [/i:2l3wmy11]twenty years ago though... Never been back since

I'm pretty good friends with most of the Gallaghers and the little contact I've had with the kitchen is when they are being very helpful with padraigs disabled brother. I think the regime has changed there from that point of view.

I'm sure it has. Twenty years is a long time

I suddenly feel older...

The Stag's Head seem to have re-introduced coddle onto their menu. Was lovely the last time i had it (about 4 years ago...) but for some reason they took it off. Seems to be back, might sneak in for a taster when it gets a bit colder.

I've seen it on the menu in O'Neill's of Pearse Street, though that was some years ago.

While it wasn’t strictly coddle (and indeed I may invoke a stern ticking off from coddle purists, should they exist….) but Gruel sometimes make a sausage & bacon soup that is very coddle-esque. Their small soup/ half a roll deal, while not exactly cheap at 6 notes, is damn tasty. And they have O’Haras bottles- although I’m usually only there for lunch and work tends not to approve of that (curses!)
