Is Beoirfinder app discontinued? 1 year 9 months ago #1

I opened up Beoirfinder the other day to see what options I had in Oranmore and the home screen came up with 'no results found'. No update seems to be available in the PlayStore either.
Scrolling around in the map seems to still work, but I don't know how up-to-date it is?

It's gone. It was very much Andrew's project, to the point of being his identity, so it wouldn't seem right to try and continue it after his death. The directory here is still live, inasmuch as anyone is updating it, but there's currently no app to use it on.

Thats what I was afraid of. For some reason in my head I had it that someone was going to keep it going in his memory, clearly dreaming again.

The map still works although a lot of entries are greyed out. It is handy to find your way to a pub that was previously recommended

If you already have it, it still works as before, and I think it's still accepting updated data from the Directories here.
