Anyone tried O'Sheas stout or ale in aldi? It says brewed in Ireland but the registered address on the label is UK?

Yes to everything above. Carlow brewing co makes oharas and osheas. I've tried them all and find the oharas nicer but the osheas red to be pretty good too. Not a great fan of the osheas stout though

I bought one of each last week and have been supping away. The pick of the litter is the IPA in my mind. Its not hoppy enough to be a true IPA, and at less than 5%, I do think they are pushing the style boundaries a bit. So as much as I like it, and I do think its a nice well balanced beer, Im not sure its an IPA.
The red was lovely - just what you expect in a red - not as hoppy as the IPA but lovely caramely flavours.
The stout I thought was a bit dry for my palate, but some people like that sort of thing.
Anyway, 1.79 for a pint of craft in a shop less than 10 mins walk from the house - result!! I fear I will soon stop brewing if this trend of nice, locally produced, affordable, readily available beers keeps going the way its going <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

No point trying to claim boundaries around an IPA. I tried it once.
