I'm going to try not to make this long winded and sound like I'm preaching. Bear with me.

I've taken residence at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.brewing.ie">www.brewing.ie and I'm searching for contributors. That is, I'm looking for people who will write, draw pictures, take photos, shoot video or otherwise contribute content to the site in whatever form they wish.

The only two requirements?
1. Beer or brewing related
2. Linked to Ireland in some form. (it is brewing.[i:2j8q4g1x]ie[/i:2j8q4g1x] after all <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->)

Other than that, I'm open to whatever you want to do, in whatever form you want to do it. If you're thinking of getting into brewing and want to document your process. If you've been brewing kits/extract/all grain for years and want to write some how-to's. If you want to show off your latest bit of kit or talk about your brew day. Or if you just love drinking craft beer and want to do beer reviews.

The (admittedly empty at the moment) site just got put online today but I'm hoping to get some contributors on board to get the site rolling quickly.

As for what you get out of it? What do you want out of it? I suppose if you're already a beer blogger and decide to syndicate some or all of your blog content over to brewing.ie, you get the (hopefully) very prominent brewing.ie name to have your articles found at. The intention is to push the name mercilessly on an ongoing basis so it should (again hopefully) stay fresh in peoples minds.

If you're not a blogger already and you're just getting started, what do you get out of it? To be honest, at the moment I don't really know. The site has been up for about 5 hours so as you can imagine a lot of details are still being worked out. Lets leave it at the moment with 'you get free stuff'.

Brewing.ie is very much an experiment at group blogging for the Irish craft beer market. It's an experiment that is currently completely funded by me and my woefully thin wallet. To that end I should point out that I'm in no way interested in making money with this. Coming close to breaking even would be an extra special treat. My interest here is to give Irish craft beer producers (be they home brewers or pro brewers) a bit more of a voice.

I could waffle on endlessly but it's better to throw it open to questions and comments. If you're interested, give me a shout. Details are up on the website. Email address is <!-- e --><a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.">This email address is being protected from spambots. That's the 'what the hell am I doing here?' part. As for 'who the hell am I?'; I'm a home brewer, although quite a novice one, a blogger (glasseyalley.com and previously blog.rymus.net) and one half of a pub review website (munsterpubs.com)

With a feeling a little bit like I'm sticking my head in the lions mouth; Any questions or comments?

given the username, I'd say it's t'other fella you're related to. Not much to nose at yet but that should all change in the coming few days. I think it's a bit like karaoke, nobody wants to sing the first song so I'll have to sing it badly myself
